About Eastwood Kennel

Eastwood Kennel is licensed by the State of Missouri, and provides personalized instruction and programs for you and your dog as a team. Group classes are not offered because we believe that you and your dog are unique, and the requirements for training must imbue that individuality to achieve the best results for you as that team. Your team includes every member of your family, and you will be shown the proper way to involve them in training at every opportunity.

Your classes are individually scheduled to meet any conflicting schedules of weekly training, family, and business commitments. Obedience class is nine weeks, and thirteen weeks are allowed for completion to compensate for unexpected events.

Detailed instruction manuals of the daily requirements for training between weekly classes provide complete guidance for progress in all obedience courses. You will never leave your personalized class without understanding what and how to accomplish the next week’s training. Owners and professional trainers in Scotland, France, Canada, and the United States are using Eastwood’s manuals. 

Consultation and training for manners, companionship, and obedience in your home, and in public are scheduled for your convenience. Prevention of bolting out a door, jumping on people, guarding food and toys, counter surfing, pulling on the leash, destructive behaviors, chewing, and many other undesirable activities are addressed at your home: we come to you.  Do you have a new baby or small children? We have a specialized program just for that training.

Regardless of the dog's age, training should start the day you bring your puppy, teenage, or adult dog into your care. Based on over thirty years of training dogs, it is our philosophy that all puppies, adults, and older dogs will benefit from your gentle, confident, and knowledgeable leadership.

Eastwood's obedience courses are designed to give you the knowledge and skills to have a lifetime companion that will be as welcome anywhere in public as in your home, or in the field. You and your obedience course graduate receive a lifetime guarantee that provides free, refresher training to assist in maintaining established levels of performance. If you also want a companion in the field, our focus is on training you as a team. As with our own dogs, your companion in the field can and should be your family pet in the house.
